Hailing from Oakland, California, The Humidors have been churning out their own unique brand of party music for over a decade. Combining elements of hard-hitting funk, greasy soul, vintage R&B, soul jazz, and more you can be sure that this eight-piece unit is committed to the groove in all its shapes and forms.

Consisting of some of the best Bay Area musicians and led by the heartfelt lead vocals of Tori Roze, The Humidors have established themselves over their tenure as one of the West Coast’s premier funk & soul bands and are committed to spreading the Gospel of Funk to dance floors everywhere. Having shared the stage with acts such as Dumpstaphunk, The New Mastersounds, The Meters’ Leo Nocentelli, Shuggie Otis, and the late, great Bernie Worrell, The Humidors are in their element on stage. Bursts and washes of B3, punchy horns, chugging percussion, thumping bass, and burning guitar leads all interweave in an infectious polyrhythmic stew.

This band of troubadours has developed a sound that pulls from a melting pot of old-school and modern influences, yet is always rooted in a commitment to ego-less playing that embraces the ensemble approach to funk.

The Humidors are Justin Abee (percussion),  Patrick Cress (Baritone Sax), Rob Ewing (bass), Mike Mulqueen (guitar/vocals), Scott Okamoto (Trombone), Tori Roze (lead vocals) Stevie Utstein (keyboards/organ), and Adam Willis (drums).

The “FAXsion” is a new breed of Bay Area Hip-Hop that has emerged from a collective known as “The Session” and is rooted in live performance combining improvisation and production. The concept was created by producer Mike Cochran “Maitre’ D” and Jeremy Clawson “MC Jerm” members of the “Cutlery Mixtape Sessions”. The duo curated mix tapes and eventually honed their skills hosting and playing live shows. The “FAXsion” now creates an experience similar to a live studio session where music is being created on the spot as they seamlessly weave different genres within the Hip-Hop style. Each show is a unique experience that also serves up elements of Funk, Jazz and cinematic themes with original beats and samples. The band features a resume of players from LA, SF, Oakland and the North Bay.
