featuring Karl Bartlett, Reed Mathis, Jordan Feinstein, Angeline Saris, Danny Luehring, Erica Jeski, Chris Hoog, Anthony Ant and Kelly McDowell
Karl Bartlett warmly welcomes you to the Sweetwater to celebrate the release of his new album, Better Times. This album of originals represents the amazing depth of the bay area jam scene, starring Reed Mathis, JP Mclean, Jordan Feinstein, Dan Luhering, Erica Jeski, Natalie Cressman, Anthony Ant and Chris Hooge.
Better Times visits several genres through long explorative jams with tight horns, reminiscent of Terrapin Crossroads and the West Marin shows of today. The intent of the album is an attempt to simply bring to you just that, an hour of better times. Imagine, if you will, Miles Davis jamming with Phish.
Karl’s infamous music career began in the 80’s, playing in Haight Ashbury’s favorite local band The Whitefronts, and then being enlisted for Camper Van Beethoven’s second best album, Our Beloved Revolutionary Sweetheart.
He is has performed at the super bowl halftime show, world series national anthem, bonarroo superjam, burning man, haight street music festival, the bandshell in golden gate park, and Jim’s backyard.
